I am going to do a new exhaust with headers on my 1500. Is a tune needed for this? Other than performance, can I put in the exhaust and drive it with stock settings?
Thanks!

Are you every gonna get a custom tune??? If not, then don't waster the money on headers and complete exhaust.... just buy a new muffler. The OEM exhaust is already stainless steel so that's a bonus.

I was going to change the headers because of the manifold bolt issues.

In answer to your questions, No you don't need a tune if you add headers.

But it would be a nice combination to run.

Are you going to do a muffler too?

Solo muffler delete kit and a pedal commander awesome combination. Let the dealer Deal with the manifold bolt issue.

Good idea. No reason to upgrade to headers and not open up the rest of the system.

You might consider doing a cold air intake to compliment that additional flow at the back end.

Eventually you will do a programmer and custom tune. Resistance is futile. :D
