Has anyone got this? I bought a certified pre-owned 2018, big horn CC, 4x4 V6 last summer. Had really low miles.. I just went past 30k and got mail from Mopar vehicle protection offering an extended warranty. I called and spoke with them. They want $3500 for full coverage through 100k miles or $4500 for full coverage through 125k. Supposedly, I get all of the money back if I do not use it.

Anyone have experience with this package? Pros/Cons?

I haven't yet.(didn't hit 30k) but I noticed the super low mileage on yours..I think if you keep in long term or had higher mileage I might jump on it (bet it can be negotiated down a bit)...Is full coverage bumper to bumper or is it a powertrain only warrantee?

It is supposedly an extension of the new vehicle warranty - bumper to bumper for anything in the vehicle except for normal wear and tear items.

Do some research online, you can get a much better price. Just make sure it's a mopar warranty

Another good one is sold by Tom Winkels from Hayes Jeep, google it, call him and explain what you have and want. His price will be one of the best if not the best.

Since your truck is a CPO, the warranty will actually start from day 1 and 0 miles vs. the current miles/year. However since it is a CPO, the warranty is also about $1000 less expensive than a used car version.

So I just bought a 2014 Longhorn Hemi 4x4 with 29k miles. I’ve been looking for an extended warranty. I talked to a dealership, I was offered a 3 year for 4200 ( I saw the dealership cost was 2800 on it). That was the MOPAR warranty. I’ve actually purchased extended warranties a lot and usually come out even at least. Still mulling everything over.

That’s the most expensive I’ve seen yet. Got my 7 year unlimited mileage Maxcare (when it was still available) for $2700, $100 deductible. My truck was 3 years old with 46k miles when I bought Maxcare. Now it has to be less than 3/36.. They wanted $2800 for the 8y 125k. This was in March 2019 from chryslerwarrantydirect.com. Prices have really gone up in the last year.

Not sure what the cost is now but some have recently reported the 8/125/200 deductible in the $2400 range. I paid $2370 in Nov 2019. But that is on a new truck with less than 12,000 miles so I would think $2800 is not bad at all if that's on a used vehicle.

$3500-4000 is high.

There's nothing wrong with aftermarket warranty contracts, but you will want to talk to the shops you plan to use for service and ask them which ones they prefer or are familiar with.

The big mega-chain dealers in my area only sell aftermarket contracts. Zero deductible if you stay in the dealer chain. $100 if you go out of it.
