I need suggestions on who to purchase an extended warranty with. Trying to figure out which ones are legit. Big price difference between mopar and chryslarwarrantydirect.

Any FCA warranty should be fine. Stay away from aftermarket warranties, even if it is sold by the dealership.
Ive 4700 mi on my '17, I keep getting a solicitation from Mopar Vehicle Protection for an extended service plan or Lifetime Maximum Care Protection plan (FCA US LLC). Save $150 if you "act now"...
I would suggest Clay Robbins @ Robbins Motors in Manhattan, Ks. I got mine through him as have a lot of people on this forum. Very easy guy to work with. (785) 537-0357
Has anyone gotten an electronic copy of the warranty details? Not just the brochure we can find on the internet.
Curious as to how it reads, especially in regards to maintenance requirements and modifications.
Attached is a PDF copy of my contract. Page 1 with name and VIN is left off. Also pages 8 through 10 which detail plan transfer, cancellation and refund. Worth note is a change in definitions on page 2 that were changed since I bought the 8/60 plan in November. Use of the vehicle for Uber and Lyft are classified as taxi service and the definition of commercial use is expanded to include delivery, yard work, snow removal, etc. Didn't affect me but it is a recent change.
Thanks for this!
What I find interesting is that I didnt see the TIPM specifically called out as covered......
Max Care is an exclusionary warranty meaning that it lists what is NOT covered. From the sales brochure: WHAT’S NOT COVERED UNDER OUR MAXIMUM CARE PLANS The only parts and labor not covered: • Maintenance Services and items used in such services • Catalytic Converter and Particulate Filter • Glass, Plastic Lenses and Light Bulbs • Body and Paint items (including Soft Trim) • Snowplows, Winches and Trailer Hitches • Wear items (such as Tires, Manual Clutch Assembly, Brake Pads, Shoes, Rotors, Drums, Belts and Wipers)
I also like this one:
"Repair or replacement of any covered component when it has been determined that the condition existed prior to purchasing the Plan;"
So, if I told the dealer my truck vibrates under acceleration at 2K RPM, then something breaks 7 years from now, can they claim "sorry it existed before you bought the plan, tough nuts"?
This is why I always purchase this coverage shortly after I buy a vehicle. The plan is in effect from the start and whatever happens is FCA's problem either way. I think this provision is more applicable to a situation like my neighbor has: 2014 Chrysler 200 with a check engine light. Basic warranty expired. Dealer says he needs an oil pressure sending unit replaced at a cost of $300. He can not buy Max Care now and have that repair covered.
Also..."It is your responsibility to properly operate, care for and maintain the Vehicle as prescribed in the owner’s manual supplied by the manufacturer. If you fail to properly operate, care for and maintain the Vehicle as prescribed in the owner’s manual supplied by the manufacturer, we may deny your claim under the Plan"
Does that mean Im forced to pay for the overpriced "X yrs/Y miles" services?
