So thinking about getting extra lights since the heads and fogs aren't enough on some roads I go on and this truck cuts off highs and fogs after like 30 seconds instead of after like 10 minutes like the old truck. Grrr. Anyways, not looking to spend a lot(under $120) and was wondering what pattern I should go with(fogs, driving, or spot), what companies to look for, shape, and what product lines to look for?

Not sure whether I'm gonna mount them behind the grille or between the bumper and the grille guard in that gap

Get some Rigid Industries LED bars in between the bumper and the grill guard.

There was an LED bar on a raptor at Dallas Cars and Coffee, it was extremely bright even in the morning sun!

In many states it's not technically legal to drive with more than 2 pair of lights on(2 being fog and low beams). That being said, the solutions are to get brighter lights.

I know it's not in your $120 budget, but perhaps your budget does not fit your problem properly. Get some Retro'd HIDs. I promise they give you the light you need and then some. Or, start with some HID fogs at least. My 35W fogs are likely brighter than the stock headlights, and throw a wonderfully wide pattern. Great for seeing all sorts of crap off to the sides of the road.

It almost seems like you should just get the eBay relay harness for highs and fogs if you feel like that would fix your problem

What's the price difference we're talking about? Like $20 or like $100?

It's just a few roads that are back roads and barely anybody travels on so no cops or anything

I don't need these for many roads, hence the low cost. If it was something for every road then I would definitely go to JJ for head lights and fog lights. So should I look into HID fogs from like kc, hella, or somebody then?

So the main reason I'm looking at these is cause last night I was going down a road that has some curves and animals and all that in the middle of nowhere and my lights would just wash out at farther distances(like when you point a flash light at something far away and it doesn't light it up) so I want something so I can see the curves, animals, etc

You can get a set of Hella 700s for about $70 from Amazon and pick up a DDM HID kit that will work just fine for that application for $40-50 (depending on which ballast you get). That will give you plenty of light but will not cost a fortune either. You'd have to mount them to the grill guard though; those are too big to fit behind the grill.

What's the difference between 700 and the 500? Which lights do you have on your truck?

The diameter of the lights. The 700's are the bigger of the two

Thanks Kevin. Which do you prefer as far as light output and all that?

just get a set of hella 500ff. All those you listed above are for individual lights not kits. By the time you get 2 lights, wiring, relays, switch you would have spent more than getting the hellas.

So hella 500FF for $77 instead of 2 procomp for $40+wiring and all that? Wow didn't realize wiring was that expensive lol

Edit: Procomp wiring and switch is about $13
