Recently, I put new drilled/slotted rotors on my truck. I only drive it maybe 50 miles a week. I hadn't drove it much after placing them on but when I did noticed an intermittent wheel wobble that depending on speed got to the point of being uncontrollable and worse upon braking.

After inspecting the front end I couldn't find anything noticeably loose or worn. I decided to put the old rotors back on and problem gone.

I still have a moderate shaking under heaving braking doing 50-70 which was why I replaced rotors but other wise it's back to how it was.

Does this make sense to anybody?

Did you try re torquing your wheels nuts before you switched back to the old rotors. They can loosen off a bit after you initially torque them. Wheels may not have seated correctly.

New rotors are probably junk. Fairly common with new parts, especially a modified design out for mass markets. I just replaced a new and leaking out the side brake combination valve for a 2nd gen camaro. I went with a different brand.

Definitely double check the torque and fit. Might not have been seated down square. Check for the obvious.

I was just surprised they could cause such disruption without the brakes even being applied.

I did take them off to ensure they were seated properly and re-torque before switching back to old ones.

Lesson learned due not buy rotors off of Ebay.

Yeah, I'd say ya got some crap rotors.

Make sure the hub is clean but I suspect the rotors didn't fit well due to a too large hub opening.
