I know most fuel comes from the same terminals(except for my area where Exxon has their own terminal) and the major difference are additives, but this fuel has definitely caused a noticeable difference in my diesel 328d versus other brands. I filled my truck up with it a few weeks ago, but I have been "enjoying" my new transmission too much with a lead foot and I don't drive it that much nowadays so it still has half a tank left.
I drive my 328d down the same roads on my 41 mile one way commute to work(65% highway) so most of my tanks are similar driving conditions and I normally get around 43 mpg at the end of the tank. On few occasions if the wife and I go in town on the weekends, the added city driving will knock down to 41-42 mpg. Before using Synergy, my best was 45.7 mpg and that was 85% highway.
Started using Synergy about five tanks ago and my commute tanks went from 43 mpg to 46 mpg. As you can see below, I used it for about three tank fulls back to back, then used another brand after the third to see if it was a fluke and my mpg went back down to 43 mpg. I refilled with Synergy and it went back up to 45.5 mpg(had more city driving last weekend).
Not sure what additives they put in that stuff, but it sure has made a difference in my car. Hopefully I can test it out in my truck once my driving goes back to normal. Although, my truck rarely does the same route each tank and tows so it will be harder to see the improvements if it did.
Just thought I would share my findings.
