Do you sill have the dimensions of the metal pieces you fabbed up? Looking as if i have access to a welder and metal it might be a fun project. looks awesome BTW!

In the pic with the pieces layed out. the large rectangles and 4x6 x 1/4 thick. the end gussets are 3 1/2 x 3 1/2. the bolt hole is centered left to right at 3" and its 3 1/4 off the back edge. The bottom bracket is built off the spring perch starting with a piece 3x 3 1/2, then gusseted both sides. welded fully inside and out.

How many pounds are those bags good for ?

their normal working pressure is 120 psi, with my trailer loaded and hooked up i havent gone over 35 psi to maintain level ride. as for how may extra pounds they would support, id have to go back and look at my specs. But i believe these will support 1000 lbs each.:Rock on:

Also with those dimensions, the bag WILL NOT RUB the frame or gussets on the brackets, when it's inflated. Lots of clearance all the way around.

Little revival on this. Last june I did finish this up. I've since added an on board compressor (on sale at cycle gear for $10) a 2 position toggle switch ($3from work) up is compressor on, middle is off, down is dump. along with a 3 way electric solenoid ($20 from my work) and a 5psi crack pressure check valve from e-bay ($5) keeps bag psi from leaking back thru compressor, and a liquid filled gauge also from e-bay ($15) its all been working great all harsh winter long. Now from the cab I can fill and dump the bags as I change loads or go from trailer to no trailer. And to keep power wires out of the cab I switched the ground side of things. uploadfromtaptalk1395501553270.jpg
