I am considering a new build. A bedliner is important to me. The factory option for the Ram 1500 is $995. Of course it comes with some other goodies in the bed. Worth the $$ or do most prefer an aftermarket spray-in for less?

I don't know what the other goodies are but $1000 seems a little excessive. I'll be doing the bed in my Sierra in the next couple weeks for about $100 in materials and a couple afternoons of time.

I've always bought the plastic bed liner for all of my trucks, but I don't haul much in the bed that would cause any damage. Just purchased a 2026 Ram 1500 and it came with the spray-in bed liner...I'm not to sure about that stuff, seems it would scratch with something heavy. So, I just bought a bed liner for the floor of the bed to keep the floor pristine. Just a personal preference since the bed is covered with a hard tonneau

Get the RAMBOX! I have had two of them…and they are the greatest thing since pickup trucks were invented. (and factory spray-in bed-liner is my suggestion)

I have not seen the Rambox. I did see that option on the build sheet. I will have a look. I currently have a Tundra with a Rhino spray in bedliner. I never liked the plastic liners. They can leak and rust out your bed. I am in construction but in a supervisory role with occasional equipment and material in the bed. Thanks

That is a bit much. I paid $542 for my Line-X spray in.

I have a 2018 1500 with the spray in bed liner. I'm basically retired now, just working very part-time, but I've used the truck to install built-in kitchen appliances for 7 years. So I haul a lot of heavy stuff in it, including the old appliances out of the boxes, and it's really held up well. On the other hand, my older trucks always had a plastic bed liner, and they always ended up cracking after a couple years. I'm really impressed with whatever they use on these Rams.
