You can buy the BW and get them color-matched for likely the same cost as buying them and having them painted. I'll have to go back and check but I found mine for just over $700 color-matched just by searching several sites. Some shops don't want to paint the black (stock) ones due to the potential for paint peeling or not taking (adhering) to the part.

Run on over to Amazon they have all brands and much cheaper also. Just look at some of the reviews first, Bushwacker are the top of the line they’re what I run but the are less expensive ones that are practically the same for a few hundred less. And so far as painting them any reputable shop should paint them without problems, all you need is a little more flex and hardener any good paint man knows how to do them.

They always fit the first time. These other brands, you never know what you’re going to get. Some of the holes may not match, warping, and poor paint and hardware. Best way to tell is to buy and see. For 65.00, it might just be what you need. I’ll never buy Bushwacker for my 9 year old truck, but I probably would consider it if it were brand new.

How are the OEM ones taped on ?? Mine are coming loose on rear. Dealer said there's a TSB to replace them but can't get parts (covid ??). I want to just re-tape them and be sure to put clear vinyl under them and 2-tone might as well get underneath. Is it just a 1/4" 3M tape along edge? Wider/thinner/thick/thin?

Get the cheap ones if you have to choose. They'll rub the paint the same whether you buy the $800 or the $65. Both will give you troubles regardless even the stocker ones, Look ^ so why pay more for those?
Or stay flare free. No reason to cheap out the truck with those plastic things and your blood pressure will stay flat simply knowing you won't have to deal with such a thing :) If you were setting asides $800 for flares there is a lot other stuff you can do with that money, rear arms, rear sway bar, rear panhard, better shocks, or you can do engine mods, CAI, headers, a real tune, etc etc.
