i think what you mean is you were driving too close to waters edge and your right side fell in. as you drove out, it sucked in the water.

am i wrong? anywho, engine looks great. if you trash that one i'll personally come kill you. lookin forward to seein some videos

yea, if you remove your factory filter box hos anyone noticed that giant hole to the ground??? well. thats where all the water rushed up through and just kinda covered my filter for the brief moment. just enough to turn it into a straw.

yea, im gonna hope and try my best to NOT let that happen again.

i just did a little driving, i think i put as many miles on it in the last 30 minutes as i have since i got it back. lol

ECT was 190ish and the IAT was 70ish the entire time. saturday night my IAT was 93* with the ECT at 184, so that tells me the double insulated intake tube is working just like it should be. I grabbed it and it wasnt even warm.

ok, heres a few pics of the times i had and 2 short vids just showing the numbers and the best one is watching the needles move. :D no theres no burnout videos, i had to take it easy off the line each time so i didnt spin them. im not in a hurry to buy more tires.

heres a pic of a 1/4 miles run. the only road i had to do this on was a bit uphill and fairly rough. deffiantly NOT smooth pavement. Im very pleased with the numbers as i did feather the throttle off the line to keep the rubber ON my tires.

heres the breakdown of that run

and heres the 2 videos. front windows are down, rears are up, and my exhaust is still stock except for theres no muffler, just a straight pipe but it still has 2 resonators.

i was pulling onto the highway here, didnt really have it floored but close to it.
YouTube - driving 2

a guy was following me into the gas station on my way home driving a camaro and appearently with my new intake tube it makes an incredibly loud whistling sound from it and the guy asked me if i had a charger or turbo on it because hes never seen a big truck thats not a cummins sound like that or take off that quick. i cant really here it in the cab but he was on my right and he said it was louder than his radio when i took off. ;D;D

i'll be honest... i would have thought it'd be quite a bit faster than that. hmm...

and put your dang seat belt on you fool!!!

ya gotta remember, my truck sits at 6200 lbs with half tank and im rolling on 20's with 35" MT's and stock 3.92's. thats purdy darn quick for a heavy a$$ lifted truck.

Hey-- GREAT work--I say the cai looks BADASS. and congrats on the new engine. I think it's pretty fast for stock gears and manifold.

Those times are reasonable. If you dont feather it off the line you wont have any tread left on the tires. Plus that thing is HEAVY.

Very nice man, if I had the $$$ to do that I would do it in a second... well that or a 426 with the 6.1 block.

cant you launch in 4x4? if my motor ever goes, i will be going this route too.. i should probably make a splash guard for my intake because thats a BIG hole and i'm sure water comes up there even when just driving in the rain
