How long does the sealer last? Is it a weekly application, monthly, bi yearly. What duration are we talking about?

Seal every 6 months and wax every 2 months or so.

That's not quite true for spray sealant like the Hybrid V7. It will not last nearly as long.

Sealants like Blackfire Wet Diamond, Menzerna Power Lock, and Chemical Guys Jet Seal 109 are wonderful products that will realistically last 3-6 months. I am going through a bottle of Blackfire and have loved it. 4-5 coats on the truck and a couple coats on my wife's car.

With the technology that is in modern sealants, there really isn't a need to use wax unless you want a little more depth/ added shine. Paste waxes protect very well but only for several weeks and are typically harder to work with (longer cure time, harder wipe-down, residual product streaking. I tried a coat of Poorboy's World Red Paste Wax on my wife's car on top of sealant and didn't notice any additional shine or slickness to the touch.

Good to know. Thanks for the info guys.

if you like using chemical guys prducts, get you some of the blacklight glaze, it hides minor swirls and really does leave behind a beautiful shine!

how often can you get this close to a black truck thats a year old
