Just bought a 500 watt power inverter and I want to hardware it straight to the battery, thinking about placing it under the cup holder and through belowe the radio bezel but where can I find a hole to run the wires to the battery?

Behind the parking brake pedal is a junction for a lot of wires. Behind that is a hole with a grommet in it. That might do you fine.

On my 06 there is a plastic plate where the clutch would be on a manual. I drilled a hole through that

I'll see if I can find the hole there but I think I looked before, I'll try again..

Armyman the hole I am referring too should be there for all years. It is used for higher levels of trim in our trucks. If you have power windows, locks, a factory alarm, or dealer installed fogs, then those thing may be taking it up. It is a bit hard to spot though, but it is there.
