Hey after readingany threads about shift kits , line boosters and valve bodies I've decided it seems like a worthy investment but will it void warranty at all? Also what would be best for fun/reliability for a 12 1500 stock, looking to add CAI, exhaust and possibly headers and 87mm TB .

Everyone is a lawyer when they reply to this citing Magnuson Moss and all, but put yourself in the dealers shoes. Some guy tools over over his tranny and then wants the dealer to fix it? Maybe the law will be on your side but that doesn't mean they can't make it hard on you. I agree it is a great idea, but if you need warranty work I would set it back to stock before bringing a sad story to a dealer. I doubt any sensor would read a valve body upgrade and then setting it back to stock if need be. One thing to consider if you buy a VB is to keep your old one and find one at a junk yard.

Never thought about that thanks for the good idea. What about those plug in clips that boost line pressure? Are they noticeable compared to a vale body? And could they be removed if needed for work?

Those are news to me, but sounds like a good idea.

From what I have heard from others, unless you have the truck tuned, the computer will compensate for the higher pressure and return it to stock. For some reason a tuner prevents it from doing that. I have heard good things about them tho, just have not tried them myself...

I really like my Sonnax line booster, less lag in the shifts. You do need a tuner though, everyone who uses a line booster without one says the computer just compensates for it.

I apologize for high jacking but can a custom tune do the same as the sonnax?

My BD only lets you adjust the shift points not line pressure. Can you use the Sonnax line booster with the BD?
