So my cab corners were rusting out, the drivers side alot worse then the passanger side. Drivers side had a hole and the passangers side just had some surface rust from rock chips and what not. Just wanted to show yall the progress and finished product, all for 135 bucks!

The drivers side

Bed came off for this one, too bad fuel pumps are so expensive. Easy access lol

Drivers side fixed, didn't get a shot off the passanger side.

And both painted

Don't mind the door bottom, they're next!

Thank you! It's nice knowing a good body shop guy lol. Once i get all the rust gone and paint touched up, it'll get a good buff and wax.

It'll take a while but its coming along. How'd you end up with mismatched paint?

Ouch lol. We have a mobile paint touch up guy that comes to our dealership to fix bumpers and what not on used cars when they get traded in. I talked to him about blending the cab corners in and he said no problem. They turned out alot better then I thought they would.

Wow that looks great. Wish I knew a body guy. My trucks not bad since I replaced every panel with rust free parts. But a few touch ups would be nice. Great job

Looking good! It's really unfortunate how many Gen IIs end up getting scrapped from a little bit of rust.

Here here!!! It's a shame to see so many of these beautiful 2nd gens get scrapped from a bit of rust. They're slowly getting harder to find any in decent shape.

Great job. Did you cut out the spot and weld in new metal or just glass it? I'm going to do my rear wheel arches and the bottom of my doors this spring. Then it will be getting repainted. And then linex on the bottom.

I had him fiberglass it in. There was so much rusty metal he cut out behind the skin as well. it was crazy!

This is true! It's a shame for as many miles as my truck has it still runs sooo good. I can't let it just rust out! I'm slowly piecing her back together!

I understand. I have 194k or so on my truck. There is things I love and hate about it. I do plan on buying a 3rd gen 2500 and this one will be my toy. I just need something bigger with a family. But I plan on doing a full frame up job on it.

I hear ya. What I really want to do is get the body completely done and find a 2nd gen 2500 CTD 4x4 thats been rolled or damaged where the frame and mechanics are still good and swap the cabs over. Alot of work but super cheap upgrade!
