Hey guys, I'm Chris. 23, from Douglas, GA. I work in law enforcement and I'm in the military.

Just got a 2014 Express 1500 today. Bright White, Crew Cab, 4x4. 5.7 Hemi with 6 speed auto. Traded a Jeep JK Unlimited with 4 inch lift on 37's on it. Got the Jeep when I got back from Afghanistan in November '13, and have been thoroughly unimpressed. Squeaks everywhere, no power, drives and rode like crap, and not to mention I couldn't tow a boat and things anymore, or drive over 75. A two hour trip in the thing would leave my back feeling like I'd ridden two days in a horse and buggy.

The Jeep and the Ram are the only non-GM vehicle I've owned. Been eyeing one for awhile now because the Gen 4's are just mean and sexy looking to me. Test drive was amazing. Power was impressive and it rode like a cloud full of baby angels on a warm summer day. Was definitely surprised to see a pickup truck without leaf springs in the rear.

Plans are a leveling kit to start, 295/60r20 trail grapplers, and possibly a prerunner style bumper replacement. May go bigger, but I'm scared of running into the ride quality issues again.

Anyways, here it is:

Welcome - Nice truck! I am new too and decided to go with a 6" lift from Rough Country... I have been pretty impressed with the ride, not too far from stock, though I haven't taken it on any super long drives yet.

Welcome brotha, I've had my '14 Express for about three months and absolutely love it.

I've been on a couple of long drives and have been back pain free !

Also, gonna take a guess, but are you a Trooper?

Not a trooper. Sheriff's Office, actually. My last name is Troupe so Super Trooper has been my nickname since joining the agency.

Hi Super Trooper,
Thanks for your service. I LIKE the bright white on the 4 gen Rams. You need to watch the UCA on them though. Don't know for sure if this carries over from the 13's but if you lift the trucks the upper control arm angle changes and puts a lot of pressure on the ball joints causing premature failure. There are several after market UCAs that address this issue. Like I said not sure if the 14s have that same issue.

Here is a pic on f my black and white 2013.

Good luck with the truck and enjoy.

Thanks for the info. I have an awesome dealer and know most of them personally. I'm gonna try a puck style level and if it gives me any problems they'll take it off for warranty work and then I'll go with some ungraded arms.

By the way, does anyone know what aftermarket bumpers fit an express? The ranch hands look like they fit a two piece bumper and retain a top plastic piece.
