Hey guys, I'm Chris. 23, from Douglas, GA. I work in law enforcement and I'm in the military.
Just got a 2014 Express 1500 today. Bright White, Crew Cab, 4x4. 5.7 Hemi with 6 speed auto. Traded a Jeep JK Unlimited with 4 inch lift on 37's on it. Got the Jeep when I got back from Afghanistan in November '13, and have been thoroughly unimpressed. Squeaks everywhere, no power, drives and rode like crap, and not to mention I couldn't tow a boat and things anymore, or drive over 75. A two hour trip in the thing would leave my back feeling like I'd ridden two days in a horse and buggy.
The Jeep and the Ram are the only non-GM vehicle I've owned. Been eyeing one for awhile now because the Gen 4's are just mean and sexy looking to me. Test drive was amazing. Power was impressive and it rode like a cloud full of baby angels on a warm summer day. Was definitely surprised to see a pickup truck without leaf springs in the rear.
Plans are a leveling kit to start, 295/60r20 trail grapplers, and possibly a prerunner style bumper replacement. May go bigger, but I'm scared of running into the ride quality issues again.
Anyways, here it is:
