Recently purchased a 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 Tradesman. Don't hate on my choice, I really wanted a Ram and got something in my price range. I am looking to lift it but this is my first truck I've owned so just looking to get a few question answered. I know I'm going to get a lot of hate for this one too, but I'm not going to be doing a lot of off roading or anything like that with the truck, so another factor to consider while looking at lift kits.

1)If I were to get a 6 inch suspension lift, is that 6 inches taller from the current vehicle height?
2) I cannot seem to find any suspension lift kits that fit my truck. My truck is 4x2 & EcoDiesel engine. A lot of the lifts I browse at are 4x4 and not compatible with EcoDiesel engines. So if anyone knows of any, please let me know. Thank you!

We wouldn't hate on your choice...you chose a Ram!

It sometimes takes the aftermarket a year or two to catchup with new model years. The other thing not working in your favor is the fact your truck is a 4x2 vs. a 4x4. However, 4x2 kits do exist. When looking, choose years 2013 - 2015. It may be that you get a front lift kit from one outfit and a rear block lift for the rear from another.

A suspension lift kit enables steeper approach, departure, and breakover angles, higher ground clearance and helps accommodate larger wheels and tires.

A suspension lift creates more vehicle clearance by spacing down your vehicle's factory suspension, or by replacing the suspension completely with new components designed to raise the chassis up a considerable amount.

So, at the end of the day, the truck roof will be pretty close to 6" taller than it was before you installed the kit.

A similar situation occurs when installing a body lift except the ground clearance does not change. The space between the frame and the body will, though, and you will be able to fit taller tires as a result.
