Hey guys
So a couple of days ago i got "battery voltage low" warning on the dash. Truck was fine. However the day before i was doing something else under the hood and i somehow managed to touch a bolt and the positive terminal on the battery at same time and obviously it sparked and tried to weld itself. I pulled it off and moved on.
Then next day i get voltage low warning. I don't believe in coincidences. I also upgraded the battery a couple of years ago to the diesel battery for more juice. I've load tested the battery and it shows fine. I stuck it on trickle charger for a couple of days till full and the fault is still there. Also plugged in my dongle to OBD and it showed no fault code there. on torque lite app.
edit. just been and tested battery voltage after being on charge only shows 12.4v started truck up 12..2v running so i guess it's not charging. Is there a main fuse for alternator? Could i have blown something when i touched the positive?
Ideas welcomed
thanks
