Hi there,
First thread for me

So I have mentioned this in the AlfaOBD thread sometime ago, and did not find any solution.
I have a 2014 ram 1500 laramie with the projector healight, and the problem is, when I pull the multifunction lever toward me for -flash to pass- it only flashes with the high beam, low beam does not turn on.
This happens even with the low beam on at night, when flashing to pass, only high beam flashes, but the projector shield does not flip down to allow the projector high beam. I have to push the lever to get both the high beam and projector shield to operate together.

So, is there something wrong in my case? Or is it like that in some Rams? Also, is there a way I could get all lights to flash when I pull the lever?

In case it matters, I live in Saudi Arabia. So, the truck could have some different configurations than the ones you have in the US?

Operating normally.
Quick pull flashes high beams only, whether lights are on or not.
With low beams on, push forward engages high beams with low beams. Quick pull flashes them.

With lows off pushing forward does nothing.

I think every car on the road works that way, at least in the last 20 years.

Remember - you are using the high beam lever to flash, I would expect the low beams to come on.

On my 2010 Toyota when I flash, both lights turn on.
Also, someone in the AlfaOBD thread said their truck flashed both beams.

If it is normal, is there a way to get both to flash together?

I thought this was going to be a thread about if you flash your high beams to warn others about the policeman with the radar gun.

If I used splitters for high beam signal to go to the low beam, would that be any harm?
As in voltage feedback to the BCU.

Having factory projectors you would need to use diodes to isolate the voltage from feeding back into the low beam circuit (possible error message) and also to the signal that drops the shutters.
I can see you wanting to have both turn on for looks but full brightness with HIDs takes several seconds which is a lot longer than a courtesy "Flash to Pass".
Using LEDs in the high beams is your best bet for an instant on obnoxiously bright "Flash to Pass".

Play with the dropout settings in AlfaOBD. In the US you can only legally have 4 lights going on the front at once. Removing the drop outs on the fogs allows the high beams, low beams and fogs to stay on. There might be a away to keep the lows and while flashing the highs but you'll have to tinker with it.

That's what I was thinking. if I could do that with AlfaOBD, it would be great.
