Greetings Everyone!
Hope you all had a fine weekend.. i am having an issue with my 2012 1500.
i had replaced all my interior bulbs with LED's, everything was working fine, up until last night.

with the ignition key to the OFF position, i went and turned on one of my map lights and it began to blink. so then i tried the other one and it did the same thing.

so, i turned the ignition key to so that my dash is on and tried again, this time the lights didn't blink.

the funny thing is that when i unlock my doors the lights turn on with no issues. it's when i purposely turn them on.

Very odd, as i mentioned before the Map lights worked perfectly when i installed them...

any help is greatly appreciated.

I had a car that had similar issues a week or so after install. I used multiple different LEDs prior with no problem. These particular 9 LED 168's decided to flash almost rhythmically. I was told to wire a resister inline but it didn't help. I bought some canbus bulbs and the problem never returned.

What I was told is that the car/truck is expecting to see a certain load when the light is on. When it doesn't, it pulses voltage to see there is a bulb present. Kind of like hyper blink issues when using LED for turn signal when it is normally incandescent. To fix the hyper blink one would plug a relay cube into the turn signal relay under the dash. At least on my previous car.
