Flashing my uconnect 8.4

Hi all,
Just wondering if I have to take my 2016 Ram to the dealership to flash my upgraded 8.4 with android auto or if there's anything I can do. I tried with alpha obd, but I couldn't find anything. Unfortunately, my back up camera and steering wheel controls don't work

Did you install a 2018 radio in your 2016? If so, here is the thread on that mod. https://www.ramforum.com/threads/how-to-install-a-2018-4c-uaq-uas-radio-in-2013-2017-ram.116140/

If you have a 2016 radio then there is no "flash upgrade" to get Android Auto and Carplay. Those require hardware that does not exists in the older radios. The thread above outlines how to install the newer radio in the older trucks.

The new radio is from 2020 1500,it works fine,it's just the back up camera and steering wheel controls

If the radio is from a new body style 5th gen 2020 ram 1500 DT ... Those are symptoms that go along with that Radio in a 4th gen ... vs using a 4th gen 2018/19-20 Classic RAM radio.

There should be kits to make the steering wheel controls work
