Im looking at getting the Flowmaster American Thunder exhaust system for my truck and I have the 4.7L. Any thoughts or insight? Im going for the deep aggressive tone.

i have the 5.7 and I have spent many of nights looking through all the exhausts online and that one gets great reviews. I just bought a bunch of stuff for my truck so once the holidays are done I will be buying it for my truck have yet to hear it in person but from what I have seen online its a real nice option for dual look and sound on a factory single.

Has any one tried to install the stock 5.7 dual on a 4.7 is it possible. I would prefer the American thunder also but I can get the factory dual very cheap. Any ideas

I havent done it but from what i can tell you would probably have to get the same rear bumper as the hemi to do so since the exhaust sits up into the bumper on the hemi. as far as it bolting right up i dont know

google does wonders haha I did find out that the hemi system will work but ya need to do some customizing. ya need extra hangers for the duals as you would for any single to dual swap and ya either have to have the hemi dual bumper for the exaust slots or cut your own slots in your existing bumper. and of course whatever you need to do to make it bolt up

Ive always liked the cowboy pipes over the straight out the back personally. Everyone has their own personal likes though so i dont hate on anyone for their preferences

They do look good on the old express trucks. Definately will be posting pics up. Im really leanin towards the flowmaster with the cowboy pipe style. The truck is all stock right now for the exception of the tonneau tool box combo and the side steps. i have a lot more work ahead of me with it.

Heck by the time i get done with it itll be close to time for a new motor haha. can only spend so much money at a time. plus this whole warranty deal sucks. gotta wait for one to run out so i can do certain things and then wait for the next one to do the rest. its 5 yrs till its all said and done

Recent laws protect you man. I have done a good 3grand in my truck performance wise. Still have my entire warranty intact. Two years ago laws were pushed through protecting any/everybody who mods their vehicle no matter how drastic. The mod has to be the DIRECT cause of the fault. Not an aid NOR a part, but the direct cause of the fault for the mod to void your warranty. Not to mention dealers fight each other. One gives you a hard time, take it to the next and tell them what happened. They will be happy to have your vehicles going to them rather than another dealer :p It protects people who mod vehicles for commercial use to get more performance/mpg out of their fleet etc. Not to mention the car/truck aftermarket is the second largest grossing market in the US. They are trying to protect it and feed it. :boxing:

The Magnuson-Moss act was passed in 1975...not two years ago.
