Recent laws protect you man. I have done a good 3grand in my truck performance wise. Still have my entire warranty intact. Two years ago laws were pushed through protecting any/everybody who mods their vehicle no matter how drastic. The mod has to be the DIRECT cause of the fault. Not an aid NOR a part, but the direct cause of the fault for the mod to void your warranty. Not to mention dealers fight each other. One gives you a hard time, take it to the next and tell them what happened. They will be happy to have your vehicles going to them rather than another dealer

It protects people who mod vehicles for commercial use to get more performance/mpg out of their fleet etc. Not to mention the car/truck aftermarket is the second largest grossing market in the US. They are trying to protect it and feed it.
