Planning to change the following shortly. But i'm unsure on how much fluid i need for each. Can anyone enlighten me?

1. Rear axle - 75w-140
2. Front axle - 75w-85
3. Transfer case - BW44-44
4. Transmission - Whats recommended to use here too? as well as volume
(i'm waiting on PPE pan too. i read they hold a bit more.)
Interested on brand recommendations too

I also read being as mines a later bw44 best to use dealer fluid for that.
'16 4wd with auto button 5.7 8spd 3.21 NO LSD
Thanks

So i just came across amsoil site and found the following info

Front axle - 1.1 litre
Rear axle - 2.2 litres
Transfer case - 1.4 litres
Transmission - 8.3 litres
(ppe holds 2 quarts more so an additional 2.2 litres on top of 8.3)

Does this sound about right?

Yup, sounds good.

I just did my 8spd trans with a PPE pan last Friday, used a tickle over 7qt.

Be sure to lube the oring on your filter and carefully slide it in. I pinched mine last time...

For your 8 speed most guys use maxlife or lifeguard, the lifeguard is a clone of Mopar which is $$$ but lifeguard is still $$ as Opposed to maxlife $. The main difference is maxlife is red and the others are green. I have not seen Mopar so cheap as this.

Looks like the one item where the price has came down from earlier examples = Mopar fluid. Used to be 30 bucks or close now generally looks like 1/2 that.

I did a drain and fill last weekend and replaced the zf8 tranny with a PPE pan.
I used about 6 quarts of fluid. My pan rail was perfectly level front to back
and just a slight lean towards the driver side. So may have overfilled a couple ounces. I got six quarts left of the Amsoil I'm using so plan to do another drain
and fill soon to get most of the fluid replaced.

That Mopar fluid for the BW transfer case is almost 3 qts…and it is NOT CHEAP. PLan on $80/qt or more.

Usually you only get at the most maybe 5.5 litres/quarts out of the ZF on a normal pan drop,so 8 litres/quarts is more then enough fluid for the PPE pan

So any ATF full synthetic for trans?

Also annoying that mine calls for 75w-85 that i can only get online but i can get 75w-90 easily locally and 90 is cheaper by a fair bit.

Nope, there's basically only a couple fluids that have a proven track record in the 8 speed, one is the OEM fluid, the other is Maxlife. Redline and Amsoil don't have the greatest rep in the 8 speed.
I can't speak to the Maxlife,as i've never used it,but it has a good track record from the guys who are using it.

75w85 -75w-90 is there that much of a difference?
Not enough to worry about. If all you can find is 75W-90,it'll work just as well as 75W-85
