FNG from Texas

Hey Guys,

Been lurking here for a while. I bought a 2013 Ram 1500 Lone Star Crew Cab, 5.7L, 8-speed, 4x4 in western brown a couple months ago. I have already put in a Mufflex DODM24 (big thanks to Moe's) a week ago and have a catch can on the way. I also have it leveled as well. I will post pics as soon as I get the beast washed.

Previously I had a 2004 Chevy 1500 and I have to say what a difference the 5.7L makes. One drawback to the Ram is the dang headlights. I cant see anything compared to my old truck.

Hopefully in the future I can get a 4" or 6" lift and 35 on it. Also looking at the Vararam. I have already learned a lot from this forum and appreciate all the advice all of you give. I am in the Air Force currently at Dyess AFB.

If you want more light check into swapping your (9006) fog bulbs to 9012s which use the same wattage but have higher output.

I replaced my fog H11s with 9005s and haven't needed my high beams since.

So I got a gift from my brother in-law, a 20" LED light bar. My truck is still dirty but wanted to share some better parts of the install, and once I get it all cleaned up I will take better pics.


Had to add this last pic because I really like the location of where we decided to mount the fuses(we went ahead and put three there since I want to add LED back up lights and one extra for good measure).
