Hello everyone, I installed the digital cluster in my truck, I noticed that the know push button for the fog lights is not working. Nothing lights up on the cluster or outside. I press and press and nothing. Any thoughts? Would it be a problem with the knop or cluster? Had any one had this issue and how did you fix it.

Thanks,
Javier

Did you change anything with AlfaOBD?
Try plugging the old cluster in to see if the problem goes away.

Try disconnecting the battery for about 10 minutes see if that helps. It's odd that they'd stop working just by swapping clusters

Only other thing I can think to have you try is check the fuse box for any blown fuses. I don't think there is a fog light one but there is some exterior lights fuses

Hi, I did discount the battery and it works for some time them turns off again. They work if you turn them on manually by turning the knop but if you press the knop doesn't work. I don't know know

The fog lights stay on if the headlight knob is in the running light or headlight position.
Do you switch to LED fog light bulbs? If the fogs work with the ignition on but the engine not running and they start to act up with the engine running, the problem is most likely with the lights.

No I don't behave any LED. The knop is on (auto) and by pressing the center of the knop the fog lights will turn on/off. After I discount the battery they work for some time but then they just stop work, unless you turn the knop to the on position. So you think it might be the bulbs?

Fogs will come on in auto (when dark enough to trigger) when parking lights are selected and/or when the headlights are manually turned on.

So if you have the headlight switch on auto then obviously when it's daylight they won't be on. If they work when manually switching the headlight switch to parking lights and/or headlights then the issue is (I truly don't mean to sound like a *******) the understanding of when the auto light feature works.

I totally understand, but I had them on all time when I had the other cluster. I had the knop on auto and the fog lights were on even on day time. I really appreciate you taking the time to reply to my message.

Thank you.

OK. Do you have something covering the auto light sensor?

Trying to figure out how your auto lights would stay on during the day.

It almost sounds like the fogs were operating like the DRLs, although they would come on when in gear.
No, the knop was on auto but the fog lights were on all the time.
If the headlight switch is in the Auto position and fog light go On/Off with the light sensor on the dash then they are working as intended.

Me too. Hahaha. I'll just leave it alone. Thanks for all your help boss. I really appreciate it. It's my first real truck and I'm doing all the upgrade my self, still learning.

Thank you,
Javier

Yeah, I guess. I'll just leave it for now.

I was kinda thinking that also. But switching clusters shouldn't change that and the fog icon wouldn't appear if they were
