FYI - my 2020 Tradesman 2500 Crew Cab 4x4 didn't come with any pre-wired harnesses. Going to try to tackle the dreaded fog light to BCM and hood latch to BCM in the next few weekends if I have the time. Hardware is already ready already :)

I've got 2 sample 1500 DT style 20 pin (F) xy100A connectors and a few BCM terminals on order... (May have a lead on the 16 pin connector and terminals for the 2500 DJ but I may a wasted effort).

The cheapest solution will likely be to get/extend a front end fog jumper harness to the BCM (like has already been done). Connectors are looking like they will be 4x the 4th gen setup until I can find a reasonable supplier (ie higher MoQ) .

if anyone may be interested in picking up the 1500 bumper fog harness (first one) to go with a BCM FogLt Extension harness I build next month (getting ready to head out of town), shoot me a message.

PS:

Got the 2 1500 DT Front end connectors in. today. Just can't seem to track down the actual 15mm wide oval mount clip/PN that snaps into the connector to attach it to the frame. (Gotta pack to head out of town. Will dig in more when I get back)

So I think I have everything ordered for fog lights for 2020 Ram 2500,I’m think I’m looking at c1 and c4 plugs way up and left side of firewall, did you guys pull other things off to make it easier to get to?Looks almost impossible to get them off then back on
Thanks Earl PS can I just push the new wires in without taking plugs all the way out?

Hello. I have 2020 Tradesman as well and want to install fog lights, and I read all the post and purchased all of the required parts. Just today, I saw this open connector just behind windshield fluid. Do you know what this can be? if this is the pre-wired connector for the fog light?
Thank you

If that connector is not there, then you’ll have to run your own wires for the right and left fog lamp signals straight to the BCM, and pin them into the right spots on the connectors. The two fog light ground wires just get grounded to metal. The BCM is up behind the dash above the brake pedal. Here’s the layout for it looking at it mounted to the firewall- QotiFuC.jpg

These are the two connectors that have the fog lamp circuits- fKCR4Zp.jpg T3dockU.jpg

Just to help people visualize what you had to do, since I just got done swapping in a BCM for a project I’m doing, here’s the C1 connector, and how to take it apart to add or remove wires. You’ll pry up here, and slide the wires and terminal block out of the latching hood shell- mfmzOOM.jpg QbC6LHq.jpg Tb7lOhS.jpg

Then, you just insert a wire with terminal in the appropriate position, or to remove a wire, you depress the tab shown, and pull the wire straight out- UjHm4KR.jpg

I just got my OEM harness, part #68377331AD, from AllMoparParts. Note that the fog light-only harness has just 4 wires and pins. The others are sealed off from weather - a great idea! ...

Small update, still can't source those Hirschmann connectors ... But I've got a 2020 2500 fog to BCM extension harness and modified foglight bumper harness that just shipped out for testing (Todd V). Hoping to get some good install /routing Pictures.

I made a BCM connector pin install video for the foglight connector locations to help everyone out in the meantime. Big thanks to Jimmy07, djcwardog, and others for their earlier info....

I think it would be very beneficial to the forum if you could quit your job and keep hobbies to a minimum until you get these kits out, can we count on you for that???

JK just unpatiently waiting for kits to be built for this so when I get my new truck I can add the fog lights without too much drama...

My test harness hasn't been installed yet by Todd V. on his 2020 2500 yet due to weather to up North. Needs to head over to his dad's garage someone.

I've got parts to make 1 or two more full bumper harness/BCM Extension harness sets but was waiting for install feedback on length, pictures, etc. Message me if you want to try one... I can put together another one if someone has ability to complete the install.

Call me confused... is there two options? DYI, or plug and play? Or you must run wires to different plugs n ****. I’m a fan of paying little extra to just plug and play.

Not plug n play... Will always have to get a harness though the firewall and manually install pins into the 2 BCM connectors. No way around it.

Has anyone made a video walkthrough of this?
