? for the mufflex 14" guys

so i have though about the delete kit but i would have to put the stock muffler on every year to get my truck inspected... which might be a hassle so i am leaning tword the 14".

1-10 how loud is this 14" ? 10 being pretty freaking loud, as in step on the gas and you can hear it from inside the cab...

I have listened to allot of clips on the net but honestly they all sound about the same from the 18 to the 14.

I tend to agree with this. I think a cutout with a decently directed output would sound awesome.

I went to a cutout from my mufflex delete pipe. It is the best of both worlds............quiet when I want it to be, and downright raunchy when I want that too!

if you decide on the 14" kit. I will tell you that you can hear it in the cab, but i wouldn't say it is obnoxious loud. I really like mine...I think is sounds awesome.

You put it in front of the muffler and with a press of a button you have straight pipes (opens a valve that bypasses the muffler) and then press the button again it closes that valve and you have to stock system again. Raceland cutouts are popular on this site. That's the one I'm looking to get.

Depends on the one your looking at getting. You can buy one from raceland or QTP or DMH.

I have a 14" Magnaflow and it is not that loud. I would give it a 5 out of 10. Inside the truck I don't even hear the exhaust much. Granted I do have road noise from the tires.



That is a video of me driving with out stepping on the gas hard that I just took. I hope it shows you some more insite about the 14".

I had my muffler cut out today and replaced it with a straight pipe w/ a custom Y.

I would give it a 6 out of 10 on loudness. The cats and resonators keep it fairly quiet.

take in consideration that resonators are put on it for a reason...

to be taken off haha!!

video never does any justice of how things sound in person...LOL When cruising at higher speeds with the rpm's down it does sound tame, but any other time its got a nice rumble to it......sounds much better than stock and is not too loud. I guess it all depends what you are looking for.

I'm just gonna buy the cutout and keep everything else stock. Best of both worlds.
