Forward Collision Warning

New here and not sure how to search within my group. New 2019 crew cab limited. I believe I have FCW turned on and set to “far” but when I barrel towards a semi and get very close no warning or breaking. I only do this with little traffic and clear lanes to move into. Thoughts? Also search advise. Looked very strange when I clicked into it. Thanks!

Not sure if this will work since my 2017 doesn't have auto braking but my wifes 2019 Rav 4 has it. I find the same with her car as your truck as far as not applying brakes with driving BUT when driving with cruise control it does work, in fact it brakes too early for me even when set to minimum distance (@ 65 mph it slows about 10 - 15 car lengths from the car in front). Then if the vehicle it slowed for moves over or speeds up the Rav resumes the set speed. Also I tried driving up to a large cardboard box in the driveway @ a couple mph and it did brake in time but didn't brake until it was about 3 feet away.
