K so i installed the hellbent steel levelling kit on my truck a couple days ago. It comes with a thin metal plate your supposed to put on if you have a 4th gen. Your supposed to put it underneath the levelling kit just onto of the strut assembly... I'm pretty sure that i accidentally put it onto instead of underneath. Does this matter?? I'm kinda freaking out right now!? it look the same in the picture but i guess a little different. someone please help

I don't think anyone will be able to help me, but logically, should it matter if the 1/8th spacer is on top or on bottom???? all its doing is spacing it????

yeah it would be difficult, take a while to remove it all, then move the plate, then put it back together torqued it back together, take it in, pay for a new alignment and to have bolts torqued to spec again.

Yeah not a bad idea. Whats the worst that could happen?? Its just a metal spacer, so i dont know if it makes a difference where its spacing. Hope not because i really don't want to take it apart

Well it says the spacer must be installed first in order to secure the rubber bushing in the strut cap. I'm not 100% sure, but does that mean you have the ability for the rubber bushing to become unseated since yours is installed backwards?

So did you call HBS? What'd they say? I would say fix it, even though it's a pain in the ass, I would still do it again to be sure. Just my opinion. I'm too OCD to be able to deal with it knowing it's "wrong".

Yeah I ended up calling and they said it does matter, that the plastic bushing on the strut cap would eventually squeeze through the hole of the spacer which would lead to squeaking. So im going to be fixing it this week end, pain in the butt though haha I can't drive it knowing it's not perfect either though :p
