Front 9.25 5.13 gear swap help?

I want to swap my 4.10 gears to a 5.13 in my front differential. I think the front aam is from a 2003 truck. Anybony knows wich gear do I have to buy? The gm 9.25 is ok? I cant find 5.13 for dodge.

5.13, good hell. You turning 44" mud boggers or something? Not sure you can put 5.13s in a 9.25. You might have to switch out your entire carrier. But you would have to find a carrier that will take 5.13 gears. I only know of 3.55s, 3.90s 3.92s and 4.56 gears for the 9.25 axle, and I believe your stock carrier will take all these gear ratios. Just telling you what I know. Not Saying you can't put 5.13s in a 9.25. But i think it involves more then just switching out ring and pinion. Good luck, I'm sure your question or project is done by now. But for the next person I guess.

9¼ housing has to get clearanced for anything bigger than a 4.56 if memory serves.

You are correct, Sir. There are some clearance issues that need to be addressed with a die grinder for the 5.13's to fit the 9.25 housing.
