99' 5.2L 4x4 with a 7" lift and 35x12.5 tires.
My truck feels like its lacking in the stopping on a dime department. I want to replace my worn rotors with maybe slotted and dimpled rotors with ceramic pads and stainless steel brake lines. What do you guys recommend?

I was in the same boat and almost went with the Ebay Cross drilled and Slotted rotors w/ ceramic pads. But went with new rotors and ceramic pads from Advance Auto. Not sure if you guys use the same rotor, but I used the Wearever Brake Rotor - Front
Part No. YH145381
. Great improvement over stock and with low dust. I used the promo code TRT30, saved 30% and picked up in store the same day. Good Luck!

I went ahead and bought the EBC slotted front rotors with green stuff 7000 series ceramic pads. Huge difference. Now I won't yet stop on a dime, but definitely on a silver dollar.
Cost was about $290 from jc Whitney, but I had to use the "make us an offer" button to bring the price down this much.

Ok one thing you can do is install the 2500 LD calipers, next would be a master cyld with a bigger bore (mine is off a 3500) 1-1/8th vs 1-1/4, and finally a set of GM one ton rear wheel brake cyld.

He might not be able to install larger calipers if he's got 15in wheels.

Other than that....I agree with everything above....but why go with LD calipers? :D

They many or many not fit he would have to try them with the 15" wheels. The LD calipers have a larger bore/piston than the 1500 calipers and the big 8800 calipers don't fit.

2500 LD? What model is that? I'm assuming a 2500 but what's the LD mean? And is it a direct bolt on upgrade? As for the 15" wheels those will be replace when I need new front tires.

Now that's something I didn't know. I was under the impression that the 2500LD had the same brakes as a half ton.
