ED9FC23A-BCB8-43C0-A128-62E44B484579.jpeg I recently purchased 2014 Ram that came with a Procomp lift already installed by the previous owner. I am quite impressed with the quality but the drop brackets for the front differential cause the entire carrier assembly to rotate forward. Is this normal for the pinion to be pointed up away from the transfer case instead of leveled out like the back?

Mine was on an angle in my 2011 1500 4 inch mopar lift. Burned 2 drive shafts up and the 1st time almost ripped it right out of the transfer case. My new BDS lift on my 2500 has a spacer and is designed to sit at the same angle as it comes stock. Hard to see just zoom into the right and you can see the angle. 20181023_110426.jpg

No, it is not normal for your diff to be rotated that far forward... With -any- lift... At the very most, the diff pinion angle should be close to, or -just- a little less than the driveshaft angle. Front or rear.

Proper shaft angle depends on the type of joints that are used. Picture shows rear shafts, but applies to front shafts as well.

I thought it looked a little off and while likely have to modify the drop brackets to get the pinion angle down some. Does anyone have any pics of a factory setup so I know what right looks like or a range of degrees that will keep my gears lubricanted?

It’s rotated too far up. I wonder if they accidentally installed a lift for an 09-12 truck. They had a low pinion front diff and would need to be rotated a little more than the 13+ trucks with the high pinion diffs.
