So the dealer screwed in the dealer plate into the front bumper. I hate how it looked just drilled directly onto the bumper so I took it off. Well after driving it like that for 2 years I just got my first ticket for no front license plate. Is there a license plate bracket for for front bumper or any other option that makes it look a little better?

Front LPs serve no purpose, I never understood why they enforce this law. Tolls, cameras, even cops run your rear plates when they pull you over.

I specifically told my dealer NOT to drill into the front bumper or I would not buy the truck, so I left with no front LP.

Go to walmart or hobby lobby and pick up 2 big suction cups and pop that puppy on the windshield or mount it behind the grill. If the cops still give you ****, carry around the law showing that it never states in the "law" where to mount the front LP as long as it's visible from a specific distance. Not sure what the laws are in Cali, check up on it.

most Canadian provinces require a front plate and Ram usually ships them with the brackets so you should be able to find 1 somewhere

The sucky thing was that I got the ticket from parking enforcement, not even a real cop. I've been pulled over many times in cars without front plates and never got a ticket for it. This guy went down the street at my work and just went down the line giving tickets to everyone without a plate. I didn't know parking enforcement could give those kinds of tickets.

It's nothing more than a revenue generator for our lovely state. Even worse, your tax dollars are paying the parking enforcer's wages, assuming he was a public worker. (I took my front plate off btw)

Yep, similar to Texas laws, it never clearly states that it has to be mounted on the front bumper, carry this around with you and if a cop argues show them, or waste more money fighting it in court.

I have an attorney on retainer just for **** like this, every ticket I get goes through him. I can't go to the court office, I'll get thrown in jail. It's already happened twice, those people just **** me off way to much and never listen to reason or logic.
