I am considering putting a front mounted hitch receiver on my 2021 3500 in order to put a bike rack for two bikes on the front of the truck. Would the bikes be an issue for my adaptive cruise control functionality or auto high beams?

It may mess with the adaptive cruise but not with the auto high-beams. You'll have to turn the front park assist sensors off.
If your towing a trailer, consider put trailer mount on the back of the trailer.

Thanks for the response. Appreciate it. Not towing. Can't lose adaptive cruise control. Swing rear hitches are crazy EXPENSIVE. Anybody else out there have any thoughts on this?

Yes, I say try it. The ACC is now camera-based and no longer radar-based. The camera sits on the glass behind the rearview mirror. It is unlikely the ACC is interested in that low area.

I added a Curt 2" receiver to the front of my 3500 (2015, before ACC), it sits low, down by the air dam and the bikes stick up above the hood line with the handlebars in full sight. The only way to tell if the bikes will confuse the ACC system is to try it unless you can find talk about this on the HD forums. My auto high beams are unaffected.

Thanks! I'll also talk with a couple Ram dealers. Perhaps I could do a quick test with even heavy cardboard attached to the front.

Roughly how high are the handlebars above the hood line?

The orange bike is mine and set up for my tall 6'4" frame, the blue bike is my wife's and she comes in at 5'4". The bike rack is RV rated, that is, it is designed to take the beating as if were hanging off the back of the fifth wheel. You may find a bike rack that sits lower on the receiver. I had thoughts of adding new holes in the bike rack to lower the bikes (I could lower the bikes by 6") but never got around to it.

I did it too. Put a curt 2 inch receiver on my 2500 to haul bikes. Had one on my Gen4 truck which worked great. Now, with is Gen5 truck I have found the curt receiver doesnt stick out far enough to actually use, w/o some adapter. Looks like the bumper on the newer trucks sticks out farther. I dont use adaptive cruise while towing anyway.
