For the last 2 years my fuel economy has averaged between 13l/100km and 15l /100km. A month ago I noticed it has jumped and was at 28l/100km and always increasing... No engine light. Performance is the same. Range is also off. I can drive for 109k and it will not change. Might even increase. I took it to a garage land he put it on the computer and no errors indicated. Ok changed the air filter. Still same bad fuel economy. I suspect the computer is pooched. It seems like the fuel economy is also calculating with the truck in park. Not sure if it should calculate fuel economy without the truck moving. Is it possible to factory reset the computer. Any thoughts of if that will fix my computer. It's making me crazy since the actual kms I get out of a tank appears to be ok but my displays are off so I feel that I cannot trust anything it says.....thanks in advance.

Been on winter gas since September, see if it goes back when summer gas comes back.

Oh never mind, I guess I see, your CPU is off. Question, does that matter even a little? As long as the truck is fine, ignore evic?

Thanks for the reply. As far as the winter gas vs summer gas is that I never had this issue before. And now I feel like I cannot trust anything on the display. How much gas do I really have? Are the temps and pressures right or wrong .

You do know that the evic read out for mpg is just a guesstimate, it can be close to being correct to 3-4 mpg off, its best to use miles traveled by gallons used

This will blow your mind.... check the battery CAPACITANCE! If the battery isn't at it's best performance, your mileage can and WILL suffer. I've seen this in my shop before!

I've seen the same with plugs and wires. He might just need a tune up.
