I currently have 45k on a set of Nitto Ridge Grapplers and they have a fair amount of tread left but I stumbled across someone selling a set of Fuel Gripper XTs mounted on a set of Hostile Alpha wheels for a fair price (by fair I mean about the cost of the new tires; making the wheels essentially free with purchase). Wheels and tires have been run for less than 300 miles.

I'm wondering if I'd love those Fuel tires as much as I love my current Nittos. Looking for thoughts and opinions on this tire from those who have run them.

I doubt you will like the Fuel tires lol ... I love my Ridge Grapplers more than any other tire I have ran and have seen personally .... but if you are getting them for a fair price and the wheels are worth it to "YOU" then FAWKET! get them!

I have the Fuel tires that you are looking at on my Tundra. They are 295x70x18, with 55 thousand miles on them now and they still have half the tread on them. Great tire for any Terrain. I was going to try to find them for my power wagon But could not Find them, So I went with the cooper's XLT.

Those Ridge Grapplers are hands down the best tires I've ever owned. I'll try those Fuel Grippers and see how they compare. They are a bit more aggressive than I want but I do like what the reviews online say about them.

Nitto has the recon grapplers that will destroy the ridge grapplers. That’s the route to go if you’re a ridge grappler fan. Then thank me later ;)

Problem is they are still so new that tire size options are very limited.

Those Recon Grapplers are very nice. Visually, they look similar to the Ridge Grapplers.

All tires in truck sizes are extremely limited and have been for the last year. Unfortunately :( I sell a lot of tires mainly for trucks but I don’t discriminate

50k on a tire and still 50% tread tells me this is a very hard rubber tire, not what I look for in a tire. I want grip and to achieve that you are going to sacrifice mileage. I’m happy getting 50k out of a tire, usually only get 40-45 before I don’t like running them so low on tread.

So what are you top 5 tires in the MT, AT, hybrid categories ? I have the Cooper STT Pro on both categories because it's a very good MT and AT tire, that was my first choice but got the Ridge Grapplers because they were in stock, the shop owner where I got my truck lifted recommended them over the STT Pros and I like them ....

Mine are

MTs

Cooper STT Pro
TOYO M/T
Nitto Mud Grappler
Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ
RBP Repulsor MT II

AT/Hybrids

Nitto Ridge Grappler
Mickey Thompson Baja Boss
Cooper STT Pro
Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac
TOYO Open Country

Tres in general can be hard to get, just from shortages due to the last few years of ********…like anything else. This is different…they simply dont offer many sizes in that tire yet, regardless if it is available to buy or not.
