What would cause the fuel rail to read 0 pressure after just 5 mins?

this problem started a while back out of the blue truck was missing and running like crap and the next time i Tryed to run it I had to clear flood smash the pedal to the floor to start it.

I put a new fuel pump with new regulator no good. I pulled the fuel rail and pressurized all 8 injectors on both sides and ran carb cleaner threw them good spray pattern?

I pressurized the injectors individually tho. and im begining to wonder if its the fuel rail/ O rings?

or maybe something else when I shut the motor off some times I can hear ping ping ping in the intake under the rail im wondering if thats fuel dropping in there on top of hot parts?

Sounds like leaking injectors. Smashing the pedal to the floor does not flood the motor, it actually shut off the injectors to clear a flood condition. I used to mess with my wife by holding the pedal to the floor and cranking the truck telling her it wouldn't start.

If it was a leaking o-ring on the rail I think you would see a wet spot from fuel.

Kinda figured this just dont feel like burning another 200$ and not fixing the problem lol

wife is gonna shoot me I have spent 50 hrs on this truck and replaced 80% of all sensors and pumps and im still hard start.

on the bright side the plenum is done the fuel pump is replaced with a good one with warranty and all I have left really is injectors and pcm left.

well unless the evap side of the system can cause this kinda crap. I have a little lift pump and a charcole can and evap that I know nothing about lol.

will order some kick ass injectors and post me results.

I;d try running a bottle of Chevron Techron through those injectors first.
You may just have some really crappy gas sludge buildup, which Techron will clear up, for you.

Walmart, like $10 or so. All black bottle.
Slap soem in teh tank at every oil change. love teh stuff.

In my experience an evap problem will not stop these trucks from starting. I've had codes for both large and small evap leaks and she runs like a dream, aside from the death flash and bad plenum gasket (imagine how nice she will run when those are fixed). I've even removed the purge solenoid and plugged its vacuum line then started the truck no problem. So the evap system isnt going to stop it from starting. However if you have a bad purge solenoid, it may cause it to run poorer under some conditions if it is allowing a giant vacuum leak. However, in this case your problem seems to be leaky injectors, try some cleaner as was mentioned earlier, if it was leaking fuel outside the engine, you would know after a few minutes at idle as there would be a growing puddle of fuel.

A leak somewhere, which u should be able to smell or see, or a weak pump with a bad anti-drain valve, which keeps the fuel from going back into the tank. It could be draining into the intake/head, but the injector/s should cause the truck to run like crap.
