I have a set of d2s 5.0 on the way, should be here this week. There are a couple builds on hidplanet if you look in the forums over there. I'll post up some pics once installed.Curious to know if anyone here have installed D2S 5.0 projectors yet in their truck? I'm thinking of finally upgrading to a good projector and HID's but want to see some reviews first in the 4th gen rams

For sure. I'll be posting a build thread over in the DIY section soon.Perfect ill take a look over there, thanks. Let me know how your install goes and review if you could.
Im going to go with the G5R.So which one are you going with? Either would be a major upgrade from the stock projector. Lools like the trade off on any of the projectors is depth or width of light.

G5r has a more intensive hotspot but tends to lose that in width.. more intense hotspot generally means better distance.
5.0 has a better balance of width not as much of a hotspot compared to the g5r
Both are great projector just depends on what you rather have.

For those who have done it before....would these fit into a quad housing as my first ever retrofit project?
Or should I look for something smaller (easier)?
Or, should I just find a set of stock projectors?
When I order the G5R projectors for my retrofit, will I need new shrouds since they are 3"?
Putting them in factory black projectorsAre you putting them in quads or projector style lights
