My vote is the exhaust work. Y-pipe, muffler and removed resonators. You'd be amazed at what back pressure will do. Reinstall the resonators.

Had a car I put 3" on, to one muffler and that's it. Had no torque what so ever. Went to 2.5" pipe and added a small resonator. Granted it wasn't as loud but 110% fixed issue

From my manual:

"This engine is designed to meet all emissions
regulations and provide satisfactory
fuel economy and performance when using
high quality unleaded gasoline having
an octane range of 87 to 89. The manufacturer
recommends the use of 89 octane for
optimum performance. The use of premium gasoline is
not recommended, as it will not provide any benefit over
regular gasoline in these engines
."

You are wasting your money. "Not recommended". It of course won't void your warranty, but if it doesn't provide a benefit, why? No big deal. Everyone is titled to run what they want. I know many that always run premium no matter what.

I have a 93 octane tune and a c16 race gas tune. I benefit from it.

If you are tuned to use 93... then you need it. If you are not tuned, it will not matter.. and you will spend more for no benefit. 91 octane is not "better" gas. this is a misunderstood issue.

The higher the octane, the harder the gas is to ignite. Period. Vehicles that would suffer from pre ignition... detonation... like turbo charged vehicles.. high compression engines.. super charged engines... need higher octane fuel, and have the gas ignite at the exact moment needed (and not predetonate) is crucial for them.

87 octane is more easily ignited...

Neither gas is "better"... advertising claims aside... there is no benefit to high octane fuels unless you are built, or tuned to actually use them.

when did you replace the tb? and when did you add the vr? My guess, as this has happened plenty of times, the o ring on the back side of the tb isn't seated right and has caused a vac leak. that's where I would start.

My Truck Has Just Lost So Much Power
After Adding These Mods it's Not Even Funny
Any More The Truck Is Just A Joke
It's Feels Like Going From A Big V/8
To A Small 4Cyl Car Im Going To Give it A Little Bit More
Then If No Change Going Back To Stock
@Adams2013: Didn't I see a thread where you were bragging on taking down a Charger and doing well from a rolling start against a heavily mod'd RAM?

Maybe you ought edit or update your original thread so folks aren't wasting their time recommending fixes to complaints since over taken by events.

I was just about to post in here. The OP started this thread when it was 100* plus. He has since had a chance to run the truck in some cooler air and along side some other quick vehicles, and the truck is running strong. Heat is a killer for these hemi motors.

I thought a made another post on here on how my truck was doing but I guess I did not i made new threads saying how the truck was doing
So after I installed mods my truck felt like it lost power the mods Dident help
But also I did not take into Consideration that the tx weather changed on me over night from 65-70* too 100* so the heat was throwing my truck off bad
I got a break in weather not to long later and seen a very big difference in my truck throttle Responce was way different low end was better and after 65 I really seen the difference...so RF I'm sorry for not posting another review on here and letting people think my mods did not help
Since I've added my mods I've raced a few things that was beating me stock and now they can't even stay with me any more I've beat some things I thought I never would of stood with...so my mods did do wonders
Sorry for not posting the better review I made a different thread on how the truck is doing I Belive the thread is called 87MM just ordered from Moes
That thread has the latest info

IMO outside Temp doesn't make much difference to me on how the Hemi performs but then again it only gets 95 here for about 8 weeks a year. You need to make sure that all the Mods are installed correctly and the exhaust needs good flow and at the same time some backpressure.

Not sure how the new Trucks react but I found when I didtched the Noisey Magnaflow 18 (14" dynomax was better) for a 24 inch Heavy Duty Truck Muffler I felt that I Gained back some of my Low end Torque and furthered the results most recently by removing the choke point on my single Cat by installing a high flow Cat (from Moes). On my Hemi Car I went with a proven stainless system from headers to Tailpipes (one that included HF Cats and rear resonators/No Drone).

87 Octane Vehicles should use 89 thats for sure but I run 87 on an 87 Tune most times cause I am at High elevation anyways. I have yet to need the 91 Tow to Tow Better but may try it some day (91 on my Custom Tuned Car).

Do a re-check on your Mods installed and finally I have found that no matter what Mod you do or what gains you achieve, the NOVELTY of each quickly wears off. I am doing Big Valve Heads on my Car next to get another 20 plus RWHP at a cost of 2.3K, Followed by a 3.73 rear LSD set-up upgraded axles at another 2 plus K (Forgot to also say I'll need better brakes by then too) so it never ends.

Sorry for the Long winded Post. You where probably just having a Bad day when you started this Post, time to suck back and re-load. Your Truck will not let you Down, Hell its a Hemi, Right!

Danny, TX heat is ridiculous. My 03 hemi would run a full .6 slower in the summer than it did in the winter. That is a huge loss of power. We haven't seen less than 95* here since early May, and we aren't even at the hottest part of summer yet. August and early September are the hottest months down here, and it is normal for us to see 100*+ everyday for a month straight.

the heat doesn't affect it that much, hell I've cut some of my best 0-60ft times when it's been 110+ out ( ground is so hot my tires stick lol) specially since its 100+ from April till November here. the thing that kills my the performance for me isn't the 110-120° heat, it's the high humidity. When it's 110 and 50% humidity, I think I can ride a bicycle faster than my truck will run.

Wow, Thats some Heat Guys, Hats off to TX and AZ (I have been in your Southern Heat wearing Specialized Gear so I can sorta Relate).

Truckin, funny though how the sticking tires help, very Little Humidity here but Central AC is a must on any Home.

Curious where this is at?

I'm NO mechanic.. just my 0.02..

I know i had a similar problem in my 06 F150.. I had installed Flowmasters and lost all sorts of power. Tuned to try and compensate by installing the Edge tuner and got back the feel that i lost with Flowmasters... basically felt like stock, when it should have felt much more strong.

My vote is either vacuum leak or lack of backpressure.. I vote double checking the seals on the TB, and reviewing your exhaust VERY carefully. Start with reinstalling the resonators, and go from there.
