I owned an 06 1500 6 speed manual years ago, lost in wreck, and have been looking for another on all auto sites, and local lots. Facebook market place, cargurus, craigslist,.....the ones I have found are either over priced with 4x4 drive or not the set up body style Id prefer. Ive always favored the srt viper body style but never was a fan of v10 nor the price can I afford. The dream would be to find an srt body style or close but with a v8 manual set up. I found one here in Ga single cab my color (black) with srt body kit and looked close to viper model, probem?? it was a v6....was thinking well i could buy and have v8 swap done, would love to do myself but im not set up facility wise at home. Have no clue what a shop would charge, im sure it wont be cheap either. Those who know a manual out rides and barks an automatic all day looong!! Well not sure what kind of feedback Ill get but thats what were here for......Im not one in position of doing build projects but this Ive dwelled on for some time now....when i owned my first ram it turned lots of heads and stood out from the normal simply being a manual bighorn stock 4.7 and was very enjoyable.

I'm sorry to hear about your struggle to find a manual truck. I know how challenging it can be. I searched for over 6 months to find mine and it was a 4 hour drive to get it. Keep searching, you just might find a winner when you least expect it.

This is the main reason I will not get rid of my 99 V10 5spd. Can not find them and when you do....the proce is ridiculous.

I sold my 85 w250 and 85 w150 a few years ago. They were both 4sps. I kick myself everyday

Not that it’ll make your search any easier, but ‘08 4.7 6spd is the way to go for the extra 70-80 hp over previous years. Even if it’s overpriced will likely be cheaper than buying a lesser truck and trying to do a motor swap.
