So I've recently noticed something I can't stand about Armor All. Every time I detail my truck and it rains within a few day, I get streaks from the Armor All running off. What is a good alternative that will not have this problem?

In other news, I just hand waxed my truck for the first time last week. All I can say is, man this truck is huge, lol.

There are many alternatives. Go to autogeek and do some research on the various products that are available---some may be sold by vendors on this site and some may not.

Armour All has got to be the worst! I started using Meguiar's Endurance Gel, so far I have been very impressed.

Armour-All is known for drying out dashes and causing cracking.. I've been using Mother's for years, it works great, lasts a descent amount of time and doesn't dry the surface of moisture that it needs. Throw that Armour-Crap in the garbage where it belongs.

I just know I have to try something else. I'm tired of get streaks in the paint every time it rains. Was real noticeable after waxing it and raining 2 days later. Looked like crap. That was one of the reason I left the spray and leave tire cleaners. I'd wind up with shiny splatters up the quarters.

A shiny one
Glad you've "seen the light."

Silicone-based products will exhibit a lot of less-than-ideal characteristics, that's for sure.

Take a look at our offerings and let me know if you have any specific questions.

Adams SVRT FTW! Silicon free so it doesn't attract dirt, hydrophobic so it repels water and it's an SPF 35 to protect what you put it on.

110% guarantee you'll like it! You have nothing to lose!

SVRT will run as well if you don't apply, let sit and then level. I like to put on a little thicker than needed and then level. That way the material I'm putting it on has a chance to absorb some of the Adams goodness! ;)

Also, it doesn't sling off tires like the silicon products do!

Sorry but Armorall is the worst crap I have ever seen, the only people that use that stuff are like 80 and still had some left in the garage from when it was the only product out there. That stuff is garbage.

Hydrophobic repels. Super hydrophobic chemicals are crazy, check out YouTube!

Hydrophilic attracts, or dissolves more easily in water.

I'm gonna have to try adams some day..

That superhydrophobic stuff is crazy. Thanks for the great feedback everyone, think I'll have to try something new. I use Meguiar's on the interior because I like the low glare inside the cab.

What are you putting in on? If you're doing like the back of the mirrors or something like that you might try Collinite 845 wax. If will clean them and not turn white like other type waxes will. Another product to consider is Aerospace 303. You can read about it at autogeek. It is used by many professional detailers on the interior and exterior of vehicles. Can be used on rubber, plastic or vinyl.

303 runs like the French Army! Adams SVRT is the same thing but thicker and hydrophobic.

Adams Quick Sealant can also be applied over plastics. NOT rubber... It offers months of protection. 6+ months...

Their interior leather conditioner is also low gloss and has an SPF 60. Their interior detailer is even a lower gloss and has an SPF of 30 I believe. It cleans and conditions.

I've never had a problem with 303 "running". I must be lucky or it might be that your vast experience is much greater than mine.(2000+ posts) Just expressing an opinion on a product that I have had great success with, as I am sure you are also.

Got my package from Adams the other day. OMG I LOVE IT. The shine is incredible. Gonna see how long it lasts though only just did the work today. Doing a black truck in sunlight, I will never do that again.

I used to use Armorall on the interior of my Grand Am, just started learning about how crappy it is around the time I got the truck. I used to get blinded so bad if I cleaned the car just before a road trip haha, the dash would be shinier than the paint. Truck interior has only ever seen Mother's Protectant and Meguiar's Leather stuff. Leaves a great smell and makes the interior look like new

I use a homebrew mix of Armour All, Back to black and a little water as a cheap wheel well dressing. I would not use it anywhere else.

I have... I used to use it exclusively and it ran like mad... It's a great product, but it doesn't repel water.
