Finally pulled the trigger and got some duals put on today. Single in dual out, straight out the back under the bumper. I am pleased so far with the sound inside and out. I'll get a pic and maybe a video tomorrow.

Here are some pics, I took a video with my phone, but the quality leaves much to be desired...

Thanks Kristin. I've seen so many of my friends with Z71's with this setup and I think my 4.7 sounds just as good or better than their 5.3s and 350s.

Nicely done, toss some high heat paint on it to prolong the life some. If you havent done it yet also toss a vid in the 3rd gen exhaust thread at the top of the performance section.

You mean put some high temp paint on the muffler itself? I could do that I guess. It looks like the shop has already painted the welds with some sort of silver paint to keep the rust off. I may get another higher quality video this weekend before I put it in the official exhaust thread, thanks for the reminder though.

The muffler and the pipes, I normaly toss a coat or 2 on every year. When my new exhaust went on I painted from the header collector on back with 1200* BBQ paint. It will put off an order till its baked on then your good to go.

Yeah...those Flowmaster aluminized steel mufflers will begin to rust fairly quickly. When I had an "original" 40 series I painted it with black header paint. One reason I went with a Borla muffler, besides a good sound and straight through design, is that its construction is T304 stainless steel (as opposed to aluminzed or T409 stainless) which will not rust nearly as easily.
