I realize that when you order you get exactly what you want. I just don't have the patience and now it takes even longer with the chip shortages. Late last year I "had" to have one of the GMC Sierra 1500 with the 3.0L Duramax and traded my 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie in on it. Well, that was a big mistake because I got tired really quick of the subpar interior (loaded SLT Premium Plus, mind you) and the clunky looking exterior.
Friday evening I looked at our local Ram dealer where I have been a customer for about 30 years. They usually have at least 20 1500s in stock....they had two Ram 1500 Limited on the lot. I went yesterday and bought one of them at a great price and 0.0 APR. I did get 2000 less for the GMC then what I paid for it in December, so, not to bad.
Tomorrow I pick up my new Ram which has all the options I wanted: 5.7L eTorque, 33 GL tank, 3.92 axles, limited slip differential, pano roof. One option I would never order are the 22" wheels/tires. So, overall I mostly got what I wanted and instant gratification.
