Got a new mod

FedEx delivered me a package yesterday. I won't get around to installing it till this weekend. To hold you over till i can get this done

I seriously can't wait to see how they look. Are you sure you can't do it on a lunch break or something!? It's like a 15 minute install....all you need is a 10mm deep socket. 4 bolts on the grill, 2 on the light housing, and 1 you just loosen from the back....that's it!

i wish it was that easy. I have to figure out how to wire them up, mount the ballasts, ground everything. This is definitely a Saturday take my time job(hopefully its not cold in the garage)

Yeah first time I did it, it did take me a while. I mounted my ballasts on the supports right behind the headlights (you'll see it when you take them off). I just put a couple zip ties on it to hold it in place. For grounding, there is a place you can ground to that holds the fender to the wheel well. That's a 8mm socket.

Make it a Saturday morning project, so we can have pics by noon.

It took me far longer to adjust the wiring harness to install to MY liking. (I extended the grounds to meet up with factory ground points under the hood etc) I mounted my ballasts right below the headlights (on the truck) with 3M 2x tape.

I HIGHLY advise using some 2" wide painters tape to protect the fenders / bumper opening from scratches. I am VERY glad I did ( nicked the tape on BOTH sides removing, and 1 side rinstalling).

That being said, I can't wait to see these puppies installed!

^I slid a microfiber towel under the headlights. That made sliding the headlights in and out easier too.
