Hey, my 2012 Express isn't starting. It doesn't even register that there is a key in it. I do all the work on the truck myself and have pretty intimate relationships with every nut, bolt, and wire. It's done this before but if I reached down and move the wires around coming out of the ignition module, it would start. So my guess is the problem lies within the module or the key. Does anyone know what I'm going to have to do once I get a new module? Reprogrammed at the dealership? New keys? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

If you end up having the buy a new ignition module, i would assume that it would come with new FOBs or RKEs

FOBs fit into the ignition
RKEs don't

Programming has to be done, you may have choices of having it done, dealership or ....

You can watch this video, he has some fairly good information
I don't know if his product is any better than anyone elses
Shop around

I replaced my own ignition part was $110 and programmed the new module and keys myself was a really easy i have a matco maxme scanner that programmed everything so if you dont know anyone with a scanner you have to take it somewhere.

If someone did not have a scanner & always wanted to have one

They could spend less than $300 & get one that does almost everything plus programs FOBs

Most descent every day scan tools cost around $170 & up
so it is not that much of a leap
