Yes, they do run narrower than advertised but I didn't want really wide tires due to the laws around here. That's why I put on the flares in the fall, you can't have any tread sticking out past your fender wells.

Thats actually not true. 13.5 can safely be mounted on an 8.5" to an 11" wheel.

Just going by manufacturers recommended specs on them. 8.5-11. Heck, Ive seen tons of 315s on 7" wide wheels, so it wouldnt be any worse than that. I ran 36x13.5 Iroks on 17x9 wheels and I thought they looked great. I dont like the wide/squated look myself. I ran 315s on 16x10s and just felt it didnt look very good.

it definitely comes down to personal preference....I think 12.5's look great on 10" wide wheels. I must not like the bulge look

I got them from summit racing for $212 each free shipping. I searched about 6 different sites and they were the lowest price at the time. I waited for a sale!

Yes, you can run 13.50 on 9" wide rims, even though these aren't actually that wide. Even the Toyo MT 37x13.50 that measure 14" wide have a recommended rim range from 8.5-11" so these tires will be fine.
