07 quad cab, interested in replacing the factory radio with a nice head unit that has the touchscreen gps and a backup cam, any ideas? Would love to find an oem unit that somebody has replaced with aftermarket, but no luck so far. Really don't wAnt to spend $1000 on a fancy aftermarket unit. Any ideas where to find a used oem unit for a decent price?

There are many units you can get with all that stuff for well under $1000. Look on eBay or amazon for double din gps units. You will find many in the $300- 400 range by pioneer and Sony. Then purchase a rear can and you'll.be around $400-500 plusses install.

thanks, will look into it. If i could find a unit for about $300-400 like u said, i might pull the trigger on one, and then just purchase a backup cam (which don't look to be too expensive). Would love to have a backup cam on the truck, have backed over quite a few things already bc i can't see what's behind me. Worried i'll back right over my lazy yellow lab one day when he's layin right behind my truck and i don't see him

There are so many choices, just depends on the price range you have to work with :)

might look into that pioneer, looks pretty slick, and i've always had pioneer aftermarket radio/cd players and like them the most. I know for the backup cam, a camera would need to be purchased separately, and plugs directly into the back of the unit somewhere. Little confused with how the gps on these works though. As soon as u install it is the gps loaded and ready to go, or do u have to setup an account or something with the gps provider and have more costs?

If you get the unit with built in GPS you have an antenna from the radio put usually on the truck like int he windshield or up on top of the truck and you 're good to go. No disc to put in or account to set up. Just like having a separate GPS like Garmin or Magellan only better. I had a pioneer in my Avalanche and loved it.
