GPS map upgrade on a 2021 Uconnect 8.4 Any advice, and any info appreciated.

I was sent an email to upgrade my GPS maps at a cost. Is it worth upgrading, and why do I have to do all the work downloading, and uploading when I'm paying for it?

I say no. Their maps are 1-2 years behind and your head unit supports Google Maps, Waze, Apple Maps and other free nav software that gets updated in near real time.
