I have a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 and a few weeks ago I noticed the screen on the radio going black, but it would pop back in. Within a few days, the AM/FM sound started going out, however, the satellite sound works fine.
I've tried checking to see if it needs an update, it says my truck's software is up to date. I've tried holding in the on/off and tuner buttons at the same time for more than 20 seconds, nothing. We tried taking out the fuse, no go. We tried replacing the fuse, nothing.
AM/FM will work when I first crank up, but once I put it into gear, the sound goes out. I can hit the satellite button and the sound works fine, it's never gone out. The screen goes in and out, dim and bright. I've attached a picture of it. We are at our wit's end and it makes you wonder if they can make it not work so you'll use the satellite.
We are very frustrated and cannot afford a radio that costs well over $600. Any more suggestions?
