I removed 4 Slats and this has helped tons. Temp use to be 220+ for Coolant and Oil about 218 when sitting for periods at a time. This picture is of 30 minutes waiting in kids school line. When driving it's the same. Wish I would have done this sooner.IMG_20190502_151010666.jpg

What was the temp outside? I sit right at 200 +/- a couple degrees and truck is bone stock. But outside temps likely a bit cooler up here....

My engine is the 3.6 and always ran hot. It was 86 out. I only removed the middle slats on the top and the middle on the bottom.

I put a 190 tsat in and it runs right at 188-190 on the hottest days. I have all my shutters in place and see no need to remove mine.

My slats are all still in place but I had to remove the two black plastic side “chutes” due to the installation of a custom grille. I never had an overheating issue but surprisingly it now seems to be running cooler.

Anybody see any issues with those side chutes being removed?

I can't answer your question, rpr, but I can say Rebels don't have AGS and I've never seen anyone here post about heating issues with them. I know I haven't, but I don't tow or haul much.

That’s the grill shutter servo with the screw trick. My shutters are fully removed. No cel. Just zip tied the servo out of the way
